Mark received his undergraduate degree from Benedictine University in Communication Arts. While an undergraduate, Mark participated in the Intercollegiate Mock Trial Competition for two years. He helped lead his team to a national ranking and received awards for his outstanding performance in competition. Mark then received his Juris Doctorate in law from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL.
Mark’s practice prior to joining Newland & Newland, LLP in 2010 focused almost exclusively in representing employers in claims filed by employees. He has worked with insurance carriers, third party administrators and understands their relationship to the employer. His experience includes representing temporary labor companies, large trucking companies, casinos, airlines, manufacturers, retailers and hospitals in nearly every venue in Illinois. Mark has considerable trial experience, successfully argued before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Circuit Courts throughout the State of Illinois, and the Appellate Court.
