Robin received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Sociology with Minors in Philosophy and French. As an undergraduate Robin was a member of the Men’s Rugby Club and Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school Robin was on the staff of the Journal of Sports Law and Contemporary Problems. As a third-year student, Robin served as the symposium editor, reviving the journal’s tradition of a yearly symposium and coordinated an event that focused on the effects that the economic recession caused by the collapse of the housing market had on the world of sports.
Before joining Newland & Newland, LLP Robin worked as a solo practitioner handling civil litigation and foreclosure defense cases. His experience includes representing borrowers in mortgage foreclosure proceedings, negotiating loan modifications with lenders on behalf of borrowers, representing parties in commercial and general civil litigation, bankruptcy, estate planning and real estate matters. Robin also has experience as a Mediator and works as a volunteer attorney with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
