Katrine R. Fleishman

Katrine R. Fleishman (formerly Katrine Lazar) concentrates primarily in real estate, estate planning and probate matters. Katrine has worked extensively in public policy for the Scottish Parliament, the British House of Commons, the United States House of Representatives, and the United States Senate where she worked for Senator Dick Durbin’s Judiciary Subcommittee and later for Senator Tom Harkin’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. Most recently, before coming to Newland & Newland LLP, she was an associate at a Chicagoland firm where she practiced real estate, estate planning, and elder law.
Katrine volunteers with Wills for Heroes where she helps prepare estate plans for first responders and their families.
Katrine graduated from Wellesley College with a dual degree in Psychology and Political Science before earning her Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in Public Management and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Katrine then attended Georgetown University Law Center where she was a Dean’s Scholar, Pro Bono Pledge honoree for substantial pro bono service, and participant in the Federal Legislation and Administrative Clinic.
Katrine is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, and the Illinois State Bar Association.
