Erin A. Adamski
Partner
Erin Adamski is a Partner at Newland and Newland, LLP., where she began her employ in 2015 as an associate attorney and rose to Partner status. Erin concentrates her practice in tort litigation, focusing on personal injury and representing Plaintiffs who have been harmed in large trucking accidents, motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, food poisoning mass-outbreaks or individual cases, food allergy events, pedestrian and/or bicycle versus vehicle crashes, 1983 Claims and other uniquely negligent injuries. She is further very experienced in Probate Court, including handling cases invoking the Wrongful Death Act, Survival Act, and the progression and cross-over of those delicate matters in the Probate world. Erin can open a minor's and/or Decedent's Estate along with the handling of the Personal Injury claim, or separately of such, whatever you seek. She also has extensive experience both representing and defending individuals and companies involved in Defamation lawsuits involving libel or slander or both or those otherwise concerning the First Amendment.
While at Newland and Newland, LLP., Erin routinely obtains the entire policy, or "policy plus" recoveries for her clients. In fact, in her very first jury trial, she obtained such a "policy-plus" judgment against the Defendant, and then proceeded to then obtained even further recovery for her client by litigating directing against the insurance company for breach of the bad duty of good faith and fair dealings pursuant to Section 155 of the Illinois Insurance Code. Pursuing additional recovery commonly referred to as "Bad faith litigation" directly from insurance companies, is another area of law Erin is experienced and comfortable in.
Most recently/notably Erin has collected over $465k for three individuals injured when a driver was permitted to continue operating his vehicle despite his employer knowing he was suffering from heat-related exhaustion, $380k for an elderly woman who was hit while leaving a Doctor's appointment $225 for a motorcycle badly injured by a trucking collision despite his own speeding, $1.25m for an injured party who survived and recovered wonderfully from a head-on collision, and $1.5m for a woman unfortunately injured while at work! These resolutions are a result of dedication, true passion for her clients and what is right, and the commitment to teamwork that Newland and Newland fosters! The point though, is that no one is a number, and each person's case is just as unique as they are. Erin and the whole team at Newland and Newland will advocate for you and what is best for your specific case!
Outside of work, Erin and her husband and young son live in the Chicagoland suburbs and in her spare time, she enjoys nothing more than supporting Chicago sports teams, local restaurants, and being with family and friends.

Personal Injury
At Newland & Newland, LLP, we know that any type of accident has the power to change your life forever in just a few seconds. If you have suffered a serious injury, you could be facing many months or even years of expensive medical care and pain that may never go away completely. When such injuries are caused by someone else's negligence, Illinois law gives you the ability to seek compensation for your injuries from the negligent party.
Our experienced personal injury lawyers are equipped to handle a full range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle crashes, premises liability cases, defective or dangerous products, and accidents involving public transportation. We also assist those who have suffered injuries caused by nursing home neglect, elder abuse, violent crimes, and sexual abuse. Our team will conduct a full investigation into the circumstances of your case and work to get you the full compensation that you deserve.
Car Accidents
Every day, thousands of Illinois residents are injured in car accidents caused by carelessness or negligence by others on the road. Our firm is dedicated to helping car accident victims recover damages for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, decreased quality of life, and other considerations. If you have been hurt in a car crash, you should not sign anything from the insurance company or agree to any settlements until you speak to a lawyer at Newland & Newland, LLP first. We will ensure that your rights and best interests are protected every step of the way.
Truck Accidents
Commercial trucks are massive vehicles that can cause catastrophic damage when they are involved in an accident. In most truck accidents, unfortunately, it is the occupants of other vehicles who usually suffer the worst injuries. Trucking companies often have teams of lawyers working on their behalf to help limit their liability following an accident, and you deserve the same level of legal protection. Our attorneys will help you stand up to trucking companies, their insurance companies, and their lawyers so that you can get the compensation you need to put your life back together.
Medical Malpractice
Medical mistakes are among the leading causes of death in the United States. Each year thousands of patients die as a result of errors made by doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, and many thousands more suffer non-fatal injuries. Not all medical errors are caused by negligence or carelessness, as even the most careful medical professionals are not perfect. When negligence does lead to substandard care, however, the negligent doctor or hospital must be held accountable.
At Newland & Newland, LLP, we have the knowledge and experience to handle all types of medical malpractice cases, including missed diagnosis, delayed diagnosis, primary care errors, errors by physician specialists, emergency room mistakes, and pharmacy malpractice. We also assist families affected by birth injuries caused by medical negligence. If you or a member of your family suffered harm due to substandard care in an Illinois doctor's office, hospital, or another medical facility, our attorneys are ready to help you take action.
Workers' Compensation
According to Illinois law, employees who get hurt in the course of performing their jobs are typically eligible for benefits through the state's workers' compensation program. Unfortunately, it not uncommon for workers' compensation claims to be partially or completely denied or unnecessarily delayed, leaving victims to face a variety of challenges on their own. At Newland & Newland, LLP, we provide guidance for injured workers throughout the entire workers' compensation claims process.
If you have been injured at work, our experienced lawyers can help you seek medical care and notify your employer in a timely manner. We will also assist you in dealing with delays or disputes by your employer or the workers' compensation insurance carrier. Our firm will work with you in escalating your claim to the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission if necessary, and we are even ready to take your case to trial. We will not be intimidated, and we will not back down. Our lawyers will do everything we can to get you the full benefits provided under the law.
